More about Danielle: Danielle Nagel is remarkable in a number of ways, though most notable is that her accomplishments in the world of fitness, nutrition and wellness started at the age of 30. Incredibly, it was her desire to improve her own
self-esteem that drove Danielle to become a fitness competitor, fitness
model, writer, marketer, promoter, personal trainer, motivational role
model, nutrition expert and more. All in the past 5 years. In 1999, Danielle played a leading role in creating the Maxxbar Ironwoman Tri-Fitness World Challenge, the largest fitness/industry trade show ever. The event, filmed and aired by Fox Sports, benefited St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Rather than sit on the sidelines, Danielle, through rigorous training, had become one of the event’s strongest competitors, placing in the top ten of 116 female athletes in all events. "The Battle by the Bay" was the next WTF success Danielle promoted and coordinated. This led to her current position as Marketing Director, Spokesperson, and Contributing Writer for "Natural Muscle" Magazine. Danielle’s articles on training, nutrition, self-esteem and self-motivation have helped many while her long running column, "Healthy Cuisine", a monthly feature, is perhaps her best known. In 2001 Danielle was contacted by Essentuale, an organization committed to helping people look and feel good in all aspects of their lives, to become a co-founder and participant. Her photos and articles can be seen at essentuale.com and among other projects, is currently developing an Essentuale branded cookbook featuring healthy ‘not like a diet’ recipes with a unique twist. Her passion for healthy cuisine was inspired by her father, renowned Chef, Charles Drewett, C.E.C. According to Rob Cummings, Essentuale’s founder, "Danielle is a perfect fit for Essentuale. At 30 she has achieved more than most half her age. She’s not simply a competitor, but also an excellent cook, home-maker, and a multi-talented role model. We only select the ‘best of the best’ and Danielle certainly qualifies. In addition, she’s a joy to know and work with." Within five years Danielle has appeared in numerous fitness infomercials and magazines as well as a Cancer Awareness video. A nationally recognized obstacle course & fitness athlete, she holds a number of titles including the Women's Tri-Fitness; Fitness America and the ESPN II Series; the Eliminator; Ms. Fitness, NPC Hurricane Bay/Typhoon Bay Classic and both the fitness and figure title of the NPC Tampa Bay Coast to Coast. "Raising awareness and helping people overcome self-esteem issues through a healthy balance of the mind, body, and soul is my primary focus" commented Danielle. Now 35, Danielle plans on continuing her fitness career as a journalist, competitor, fitness model, author, motivational speaker, and a number of other wellness-related projects. There’s a reason she’s nicknamed ‘Hurricane Danielle’. To contact Danielle email her at danielle@essentuale.com. |
