Pilates was created by Joseph Pilates in the 1920's. He was a boxer interested in developing a fitness program that would help practically everyone. As a child Joe was frail. Exercise and body building were the means he created to overcome his physical limitations. His method gained favor in the dance community. By the 1960's hundreds of young students were using Pilates techniques. Later, football teams, athletes and renowned celebrities embraced Pilates as well. Try it now. |
